Multi-Input and Multi-Geared Transmission

This is the next generation hybrid transmission system. It incorporates performance enhancing and efficiency improving technologies. It is designed to overcome the limitations of existing hybrid systems.

The new patented transmission are designed to handle multiple input power sources such as conventional petrol/diesel engines, one or more electric motors, etc. and all these power sources can be driven at different RPMs at any vehicle speed. This allows the fuel engine to run at its own RPM to produce maximum torque while the electric motor is run at its own RPM range to produce maximum torque simultaneously. This provides limitless permutations and combinations where different engines and motors can be independently driven at their best RPM range.

These transmissions are designed to selectively engage multiple gears between these multiple inputs and multiple outputs. There are different set of gears applied between fuel engine and wheels, different gears are applied between the electric motor and the wheels and different gears are applied between fuel engine and electric motors. And moreover these multiple gears can be varied independently under different driving conditions. This is the most important feature offered by this invention which is never achieved before in the automotive industry.


A Superior Hybrid Technology – Varied Levels of Hybridization

The revolutionary technology offers adaptive and superior hybrid drive mechanism. It can be driven in any of the hybrid drive modes, such as series hybrid, parallel hybrid and series-parallel hybrids.

  • Ability to switch between any of the hybrid drive modes at any speed based on the acceleration and braking inputs from the driver.

Integrated 4×4 Capability

These Hybrid Transmission have built-in 4×4 Full Time AWD capabilities. Hence it does not require a separate 4×4 gearbox.

It has a unique feature of Multi-Out and Multi-Geared technology which can provide torque to all 4 wheels of the vehicle. It can apply differing gear ratios to front and rear wheels of the vehicle. There is a very fine control over how much torque is transferred to front axle and how much torque is transferred to the rear axle. And this torque distribution is controlled through the transmission itself and will not need the braking controls to be applied.

These transmissions always retain all the hybrid capabilities. It can function in different hybrid modes such as a Parallel Hybrid or a Series-Parallel hybrid while powering all 4 wheels of the car. Also the 4×4 capability is built into the transmission itself and its not derived separately by applying multiple electric motors.

The newly patented hybrid transmissions retains full 4×4 AWD capability even while running on conventional fuel engine alone. It does not need big heavy electric motors to function as 4×4 transmission.

Moreover, this transmission system also provides an option to disengage 4×4 mode if required. When the 4×4 mode is disengaged, the vehicle can be run either in front wheel drive mode or the rear wheel drive mode. There are many ways in which it can be achieved by using the innovative technology, unlike the current solutions available in the automotive industry.
