Description:
Elizabeth was surprised, but agreed to it immediately. Miss Bingley succeeded no less in the real object of her civility; Mr. Darcy looked up. He was as much awake to the novelty of attention in that quarter as Elizabeth herself could be, and unconsciously closed his book. He was directly invited to join their party, but he declined it, observing that he could imagine but two motives for their choosing to walk up and down the room together, with either of which motives his joining them would interfere. “What could he mean? She was dying to know what could be his meaning?”—and asked Elizabeth whether she could at all understand him?
The multi-clutch hybrid transmission is an innovative transmission especially designed for large and heavy vehicles. The most hybrid vehicles have been in the small and medium sized categories due to the current transmissions used in them. Hence this patented transmission is uniquely designed for heavy duty applications.
The transmission has a common output shaft which draws power from two independent power sources placed on either side. These power sources drive their own independent input shafts on either side of the output shaft. These input shafts are connected to the common output shaft through a series of meshed gear arrangement. The input gears are selected on the respective input shafts by means of dog clutches. In this transmission, two independent sets of dog clutches operate on their respective input shafts in order to transfer the power and torque from the fuel engine and electric motor to the output shaft.
An important and unique benefit of this transmission is that it describes a three shaft – three clutch mechanism on the input side which makes the gear shifts extremely smooth.
With this transmission design, the R&D teams have unmatched flexibility in choosing the right combinations of fuel engine and electric motors which makes the vehicle most fuel efficient as well as powerful enough for all types of driving conditions. While this patent is applicable for very heavy duty applications such as hybrid buses, hybrid trucks, etc. at the same time its also easily deployable in small and medium sized vehicles.
